We are a RTO (Registered Training Organisation), which means that we can train and assess for this type of course. We pride ourselves on offering friendly, professional training at a relatively low rate; we may also be able to offer a discount if you have your own machine to work with (please note that the Rollers used for training are minimum 2L, per Workplace Health and Safety guidelines).
Potential roller training students must:
- Be at least 18 years old at commencement of training (WH&S requirement)
- Provide two forms of ID
- Be able to read and write basic English (WH&S requirement)
- Wear steel cap boots or sturdy work boots to training
RIIMPO317E is a competency-based course, covering everything from theoretical knowledge right through to practical training and assessment. All training is done on site at Affordable Driving School, from watching essential safety/instructional DVDs and industry PowerPoints, to completing practical training in our simulated work site. The course starts with formal (theory) training, after which students are issued with a training plan that details everything that needs to be covered in practical training.
Once a student has completed training, they are assessed. If they are assessed and deemed fully competent, they are provided with a statement of attainment and a photo ID licence (see below).
